 Student Success Technology Workshops

Klein BottleThe Department of Mathematics conducted technology workshops sponsored by the Provost and Executive Vice President's incentive grant for centers of excellence on November 4, 2000 and February 24, 2001 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in S117.

The Department of Mathematics expect to run similar workshop in the future. Workshops are intended to introduce students to technology support environment and enhance student self-confidence in using computer and computer technology to learn mathematics. 
The primary goal of the workshop is a practical introduction to Mathematica®, a computer algebra system used in the department.  Participants will learn basic Mathematica® commands ranging from building algebraic calculation to symbolic mathematics and graphics.

Workshops are open to all interested students currently enrolled at William Paterson University and certificate of participation will be given to participants.
