The Department of Mathematics offers a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree program with two tracks: Mathematics and Applied Mathematics. The main goal of the department is to prepare the students for graduate school and professional careers and to encourage the students to understand mathematics and experience the joy and excitement of learning mathematics. In addition to these programs, the college offers a program of study leading to the certification of a mathematics teacher. A graduate of the Mathematics Department will be prepared to take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE), the Actuarial Examination I and II, and/or the mathematics section of the National Teachers' Exam for certification.
