UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM

Located
in the College of Science and Health, the program in Exercise and Movement
Sciences contains a core program of 33 credits required of all majors.
Additionally, students must specialize in one of three concentration areas.
The Athletic Training Education concentration (34 credits) is a curriculum
program accredited by the Commission on the Accreditation of Allied Health
Education Programs (CAAHEP). The oldest program, the concentration in
K-12 Teacher Certification (33 credits), is an NCATE-accredited program.
Within the Teacher Certification concentration, there is an enrichment
track in Adapted Physical Education. The final concentration is Exercise
Physiology (18 credits). Upon completion of degree requirements, students
receive a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education. The required core
of courses and the three concentrations follow below.
