Interest in nutrition has grown as the role of nutrition in health promotion and disease prevention is increasingly recognized by health professionals and the public. In response to this interest, the Department of Community Health offers a Concentration in Nutrition. The Concentration provides students with introductory and more advanced study of nutrition through the lifespan and of social issues impacting the nutritional status of Americans. The Concentration consists of 18 credits, with 15 credits of a required "core" curriculum and 3 elective credits. Curriculum
