Eligibility Requirements:

• Be enrolled in a Mathematics or Science major or Post-Baccalaureate program that prepares students for teacher certification and be enrolled in an Education major at William Paterson University.

• Have completed at least 60c with an overall Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.8 (undergraduate) or 3.0 (graduate).

• Provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident alien at the time of application.

• Complete and file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with the Financial Aid Office (only applies for undergraduate students).

• Be prepared to complete two years of teaching in a high-need urban school district for each year of scholarship support. The NJ high-need schools can be found by logging into the following website and searching for NJ schools:  https://www.tcli.ed.gov/CBSWebApp/tcli/TCLIStateWelcome.jsp
• Be willing to attend scholarship sponsored events, such as  the August Institute for Novice Teachers.
