Louis R. Gaydosh received his B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. from Fordham University. He teaches Elementary Social Statistics, Essentials of Criminal Justice Systems, Principles of Sociology, and Computer Applications and Sociological Analysis. He also has experience teaching courses in Social Psychology, Juvenile Delinquency, and Criminology. He has co-edited two books and edited the first edition of Syllabi and Instructional Materials for Social Statistics for the Teaching Resources Center of the American Sociological Association. He has contributed material to other syllabi sets published by the American Sociological Association. He has published articles in quarterly journals and he has also presented papers at annual conferences sponsored by the American Sociological Association, Eastern Sociological Society, and Social Science Computing Association. He is currently completing a book (tentatively) titled Left-handers: Sociological Perspectives on an Invisible Sinister Minority.

He has held a variety of positions at William Paterson University, including Associate Dean of the School of Management (1979-1986) and Director of the MBA program (1982-1985). He was a full-time faculty member in the Department of Computer Science from 1985 through 1996, as well as an adjunct instructor in the mathematics and economics departments.

Prof. Gaydosh plans to pursue research on the relationship(s) between social structure and (computing) technology. He is also interested in developing a perspective on mathematics as a social construction.

Prof. Gaydosh is actively involved in his local community. He is a Trustee of the Free Public Library of the Borough of Florham Park (NJ) and a Trustee of the Adult School of the Chathams, Madison, and Florham Park. His leisure pursuits include listening to 1950's "doo wop" music and Mozart symphonies.
