There is no textbook & there are no day-by-day reading assignments. The five books
listed above should be read in their entirety & we will discuss them on the day
indicated. It is your responsibility to pace yourself in your reading so that you can
complete the reading assignments on time. The format of the class will be mostly lecture,
but discussion is encouraged.
Determination of Grade:
1/2 Takehome midterm
- 1/2 In-class final
- Attendance is required & will be taken every day. Regular attendance & serious
participation in class discussion will raise your grade if it is on the borderline.
