Why Study History?

History as a discipline thrives on scholarly exchanges of ideas and information.

To these ends, Phi Alpha Theta (the international History Honor Society) hosts regular conferences for the presentation and discussion of academic papers.  The 2003-04 Regional Meeting for the New York/New Jersey region will be hosted by Kutztown University (Kutztown PA).  The conference  will be held there on its main campus at a date to be determined (probably mid-Spring).   All Rho Alpha members are invited to attend, whether to present work of their own or to help assess the contributions of their peers at other institutions.
