WGS Social Justice Studies Minor Requirements and Courses

WGS Social Justice Studies Minor

The Department of Women’s and Gender Studies offers an eighteen-credit interdisciplinary minor in Social Justice Studies. The eighteen-credit interdisciplinary minor will give students an opportunity to develop an additional field of knowledge and expertise. The minor in Social Justice Studies both supports and advances the university’s commitment to diversity, equity, respect, and tolerance.

How Can a Social Justice Minor Benefit Me?
A minor in social justice studies will benefit students who plan careers in a wide array of settings, including human services, social work, criminal justice, law, advocacy work, non-profit organizations, public service, international development, and education. Beyond specific career goals, students in any major who are interested in furthering the goals of social justice in their own lives will find this minor a foundation on which to build a life-long commitment to civic engagement.
