She arguably invented the blog in 1994 for one of the first dot-coms on the Web. Her chapter "Cold Comfort: Stephen W. Hawking and The Bible," on the scientist's ventures into populist media, appears in The Monstrous and the Unspeakable: The Bible as Fantastic Literature, edited by Tina Pippin and George Aichele (Sheffield Academic Press, 1997), which is still in print. She attended the final conference of the New Jersey Project as well as the 2006 NOMAS conference, and provided a distance-learning workshop paper for NWSA 2007 on sexist and ageist biases in posts to RateMyProfessors.com. She is a lifetime member of the National Coalition of Independent Scholars and former Steering Committee Member of the National Women's Studies Association's Independent Scholars Task Force, currently serves on the Technology Intensive panel for WPUNJ's UCC, and networks for non-profit and activist groups on Facebook on a volunteer basis.
