Ryan J. Rebe joined the Political Science faculty at William Paterson University in September, 2013. He has been a licensed attorney since 2002, and was formerly a private practitioner in criminal law at the trial and appellate levels. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill (1999), his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston Law Center (2002), and his Ph.D. in Political Science from Texas Tech University (2013).  

Professor Rebe has published in several peer-reviewed Political Science journals.  His research and teaching interests are pre-law, legal studies, judicial politics and American government. Recent course offerings include: International Law, Comparative Criminal Law, Administrative Law, and Judicial Politics, as well as seminars on the First Amendment, Equal Protection, and the Supreme Court.

Professor Rebe was the 2016-2017 recipient of the HSS College Award for Faculty Service.  He is the founder and director of Phi Theta Sigma Honors Law Fraternity, and faculty advisor for the SGA Judicial Review Board, the Mock Trial Association, and LSAT Study Group.
