Korean Poetry Recitation Contest

Korean Poetry Recitation Contest

The 28th Annual Poetry Recitation Contest was held on May 19th in the University Commons Ballrooms on campus. About 800 students from middle and high schools in New Jersey participated and recited poetry in 10 different languages. Korean was one of the recent additions to the Poetry Recitation Contest. This was the second year in which Korean was featured as one of the languages. Students were judged on delivery, pronunciation, intonation and poise. In the Korean language category, out of the many students who participated, eleven participants were awarded for their achievements in Korean poetry recitation. All of the judges agreed that the quality of the presentations this year exceeded expectations and reflected the continuous growth and improvement of the poetry contest.
