The Art of Propaganda: Culture of the New Deal

The common perception of propaganda has traditionally been one of audience manipulation with a negative connotation, but in this presentation given at William Paterson University, New York University professor of media and culture Dr. Stephen Duncombe explains how propaganda has also been used throughout history to achieve social betterment, particularly by the likes of Franklin Delano Roosevelt via his fireside chats, through a process of democratic persuasion.
