Area Specialization: Latin American and Carribbean History

Dr. Zeller teaches undergraduate and graduate courses on Latin America and the Caribbean, with an emphasis on imperialism and revolutions in the modern period. She received her training at Yale University and the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her current research focuses on issues of class and gender in dictatorial regimes, particularly in the context of modernization projects for health and sanitation. Dr. Zeller also conducts research on the formation of a civil society in present-day Cuba.
