HIDEO WATANABE, ASSISTANT PROFESSOR Ph. D. in Anthropology, University of Pittsburgh, 2000. MA in East Asian Studies, University of Pittsburgh. MA in Education, Keio University (Japan). He specializes in Cultural Anthropology and is particularly familiar with Japanese Culture. His research focuses on issues of education, identity, music, and popular culture, in Japan and he has presented papers on Japanese Adult Learning. He is a professor of Japanese language, culture, literature, and film. He is also a practitioner of Japanese calligraphy. |
