Language testing

ESL Certification

In order to receive the ESL endorsement, students are required by the state of New Jersey, to pass the following tests:

English Oral Proficiency Interviews (OPI) - With a score of at least Advanced Low 

English Written Proficiency Tests (WPT) -  With a score of at least Advanced Low

 

Bilingual Certification

In order to receive the Bilingual endorsement, students are required by the state of New Jersey, to pass the following tests:

English Oral Proficiency Interviews (OPI) - With a score of at least Intermediate High

English written Proficiency Tests (WPT) -With a score of at least Advanced Low

Both Oral Proficiency Interviews (OPI) and Written Proficiency Tests (WPT) in the target language - with a score of at least Advanced Low
