SPED - Elem Ed K-5 w Disabilities Dual Certification
This initial dual licensure program is intended for college graduates who are not currently certified to teach in any area and who wish to earn certification in Elementary Education,
K-5 with an endorsement as Teacher of Students with Disabilities. This 46-credit program includes 34 credits of coursework, two practicums and a 10-credit full-time semester of student teaching. Upon completion of the program, teacher candidates will possess the knowledge, skills and dispositions to teach general education students K-5, and students with special needs.

| Entry Requirements |
- B.A. degree from an accredited college or university with an approved liberal arts or science academic major (see list provided by the Office of Certification)
- Cumulative undergraduate GPA of at least 2.75 on a 4.0 scale
- Completion of *Co-requisite Courses (may be taken at undergraduate or graduate level): Developmental Psychology, Educational Psychology and Multicultural Course (see advisor for list of acceptable courses)

- Passing score on Praxis II Elementary Education Content Knowledge Examination (test code 5031)
- Completed Application Form submitted to the Office of Graduate Admissions & Enrollment Services plus two letters of recommendation from professional sources
