Undergraduate Entry Requirements

Only students, who have passed the College of Education mandatory entry requirements: speech and hearing assessments, Praxis Core for Educators (5751), have 60 credits and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, may take education courses.

If you wish to take all three computer-delivered Core Academic Skills for Educators exams (5712, 5722, 5732) at the same time, select Core Academic Skills for Educators Combined Test (5751) when registering. Scores will be reported by individual test (5712, 5722, 5732).

Speech and Hearing Assessment:

You must register on line for this assessment using the link below.  Please be sure to keep your appointment as space is limited. If you are able to attend your scheduled appointment or if you have problems registering for the speech and hearing assessments online, please contact Susan Burns at 973-720-2139.  Please report to the Speech and hearing clinic in Hunziker Wing 7C for on the day and time of your appointment. You cannot change or reschedule your appointment once you have registered online. The dates for the Fall Semester are:

  • Thursday, October 2, 2014 -   2:30 PM -5:30 PM
  • Tuesday, October 7, 2014 -  4:00-7:00 PM
  • Wednesday, October 15, 2014 -  11:00 AM-2:00 PM
  • Thursday, October 30, 2014 -  2:30 PM-5:30 PM
  • Tuesday, November 4, 2014 -  4:00 PM-7:00 PM
  • Wednesday, November 12, 2014 -  11:00 AM-2:00 PM

Writing Assessment: 

The writing assessment is no longer being offered.
