  • Adolescent Summer Literacy Institute

    FOR: Middle and High School Language Arts teachers; reading teachers, reading coaches, and curriculum supervisors.-This three-day seminar/workshop will focus on instructional methods present half-day workshops and book talks. There will also be a hands-on component where you have the opportunity to try out new strategies to increase student motivation and interest in reading an writing for authentic purposes.

  • Pre-Entry Seminar for P-3 Alternate Route Candidates

    This 24-hour seminar is approved by NJ Department of Education for meeting the requirements for the 24-hour pre-training requirement for a CE for P-3 (Preschool to Grade 3). Students who successfully complete this 24-hour seminar will receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the course.

  • Substitute Teacher Workshop

    This workshop shares tips and techniques that have proven to be very effective, positive and easy to implement in the classroom.Topics include: district expectations for their substitute teachers, legal issues, daily planning, classroom management, paperwork process,and pathways to permanent certification.Sixty college credits are required to become a substitute in New Jersey. Participants must apply on their own for a substitute certificate.
