Adolescent Summer Literacy Institute

There will also be a hands-on component where you have the opportunity to try out new strategies to increase student motivation and interest in reading an writing for authentic purposes.

Pre-Entry Seminar for P-3 Alternate Route Candidates

This 24-hour seminar is approved by NJ Department of Education for meeting the requirements for the 24-hour pre-training requirement for a CE for P-3 (Preschool to Grade 3). Students who successfully complete this 24-hour seminar will receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the course.

Substitute Teacher Workshop

This workshop shares tips and techniques that have proven to be very effective, positive and easy to implement in the classroom.Topics include: district expectations for their substitute teachers, legal issues, daily planning, classroom management, paperwork process,and pathways to permanent certification.Sixty college credits are required to become a substitute in New Jersey. Participants must apply on their own for a substitute certificate.
