Mission

Dean Sam Basu

The Mission of Christos M. Cotsakos College of Business is to provide quality education in the area of business for our diversified student body.  The College is committed to continuous improvement as it concerns

(a) teaching,
(b) intellectual contributions, and
(c) service, to the extent that it enhances the educational environment.

The Mission of the Christos M. Cotsakos College of Business Undergraduate Program is to provide an educational environment that fosters the development of graduates that have the skills, knowledge, and values necessary for success in an increasingly diversified, technologically enabled, and globally competitive environment.

Our undergraduate program is guided by a framework that embraces effective teaching, and is guided by goals and objectives that adhere to the Dean’s Four Stars:

Student Professional Enrichment,
Technological Enhancement,
Academic Excellence
Reading, Writing, and Speaking, Across the Curriculum.
The Mission of the Christos M. Cotsakos College of Business Graduate Program is to prepare students for roles as effective organizational contributors in an increasingly diversified environment.

This mission is addressed through the delivery of a dynamic curriculum that is designed to meet the changing demands of an internationally and technologically oriented marketplace. Graduate Program goals and objectives are guided by the same framework as our undergraduate program, although an increased emphasis is placed on a cross functional pedagogical approach to teaching, and integrated technology across the upper core of non-waivable credit hours.
