FEATURED IN THE PRINCETON REVIEW’S
“BEST 296 BUSINESS SCHOOLS: 2009 EDITION”
William Paterson University Christos M. Cotsakos College of Business is an outstanding business school, according to The Princeton Review. The New York-based education services company features the school in the just-published 2009 edition of its “Best 296 Business Schools” (Random House / Princeton Review, Oct. 7, 2008, $22.95).
According to
“Best 296 Business Schools” has two-page profiles of the schools with write-ups on their academics, student life and admissions, plus ratings for their academics, selectivity and career placement services. In the profile on Christos M. Cotsakos College of Business, the Princeton Review editors noted that the Christos M. Cotsakos College of Business augments the traditional MBA curriculum with a number of experiential learning programs, which add depth and relevance to the academic experience. The editors also noted other unique features of the business school such as the mentoring program, the sales center facility, and the ETRADE Financial Learning Center, which hosts one of the few active trading rooms found in an academic institution.
In a "Survey Says. . ." sidebar in the profile, The Princeton Review lists topics that Christos M. Cotsakos College of Business students it surveyed for the book were in most agreement about. The list includes: "excellent professors who truly care about your success," and " Faculty is “accessible, helpful, challenging, and enlightening, and they all seem devoted to and knowledgeable in their subject area." The Princeton Review's 80-question survey asked students about themselves, their career plans, and their schools’ academics, student body and campus life.
The Princeton Review does not rank the schools in the book on a single hierarchical list from 1 to 296, or name one business school best overall. Instead, the book has 11 ranking lists of the top 10 business schools in various categories. Ten lists are based on The Princeton Review's surveys of 19,000 students attending the 296 business schools profiled in the book. The lists are posted at www.PrincetonReview.com.
