MBA CONCENTRATION IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP

The MBA degree in Entrepreneurship will enable graduates to develop the skills needed to enter and sustain a career in Entrepreneurship backed by the depth and prestige of our MBA program. Our program will both provide students with the basic and advanced skills necessary to understand the Entrepreneurial entity, and offer the training necessary to create a proper foundation to manage, operate, grow and sustain an entrepreneurial venture.

Students who complete the MBA in Entrepreneurship will possess all the skills and knowledge necessary to start and grow a business or support entrepreneurial activities in corporations. It is anticipated that many will already own a business, have a specific start-up idea, or have corporate experience and see the need to develop new skills. Some individuals may not have specific ideas, but may want to explore how to become an entrepreneur and develop a sustainable business that they would enjoy. The MBA in Entrepreneurship will offer not only core business skills, but will also emphasize knowledge that is specific to entrepreneurial success.

The combination of core MBA requirements and specific entrepreneurial knowledge offers students numerous career and employment opportunities that can be quite varied and lucrative, including positions in: family-owned businesses, minority businesses, women’s businesses, entrepreneurship development firms, appraisal and consulting firms, accounting firms, insurance companies, pension funds, banks and financial institutions, investment banks, mortgage security brokers, regulatory agencies, government supported technology firms and large corporations with innovation functions, product development roles, portfolio management, or intelligence research. All these positions require not only general business knowledge and management skills, but also knowledge and technical training specific to the Entrepreneurial field.
