The ITC helps students, faculty and staff in the College of Business better appreciate market dynamics and the stock market.  Participants start with a  $100,000 paper portfolio and attempt to grow their net worth through timely investment decisions. 

The competition enhances student trading skills, forces students to keep an active knowledge of market news and events, and introduces them to new valuation measures.  Students at William Paterson University have the added benefit of utilizing the Financial Learning Center’s resources to make more informed investment decisions.  During past competitions students have used these resources to conduct both technical and fundamental analysis.
