GFSI promotes student awareness on important current issues through the Distinguished Speaker Series. Speakers are chosen from alumni, faculty and business practitioners to deliver a first hand perspective on real world issues. 

Topics range from the economy and business climate to political issues.  Speakers provide insight and perspective from a practitioners’ point of view, discuss new tools, applications, and regulations, and offer students insight into a typical practitioner’s work day.
