*Stephen Marcone, Area Coordinator
Program Director. B.A.; M.M.Ed.; Ed.D. Syracuse University.  Formerly an artist on Epic Records. He has written articles for such publications as: Music Educators Journal, The Instrumentalist, NAJE Journal, and Musician Magazine. Marcone has lectured at the Hartt School of Music, NYU, College of the Finger Lakes, Central Connecticut State U.,MENC National and Regional Conferences, College Music Society Annual Meetings, National Association of Schools of Music Annual Meetings, New Jersey Music Educators Association, NJ Artist-Teacher Institute, and the Music and Entertainment Industry Educators Association. He is the author of Managing Your Band, in its 5th edition, distributed by Hal Leonard and is a frequent lecturer for the NJ Council on the Humanities. Each summer Marcone conducts the University's Summer Jazz Ensemble. In 1984, he came to the William Paterson University of New Jersey where he was Chairperson of the Music Department for 15 years, and for two years was Interim Dean of The College of the Arts and Communication.

Steve Leeds

Steve Leeds has an extensive track record of successful marketing and promotion in the entertainment industry, emphasizing artist relations and representation. He is also recognized and renowned for discovering and nurturing on-air and creative talent and for his cutting edge experience in alternative music, satellite radio, video and new technologies. In the late 1980s, he was a director of talent at MTV Networks. Subsequently, he held Vice President positions at Island Records, Universal Records, and Virgin Records. Presently he is Vice President of Talent and Industry Affairs at Sirius/XM Satellite Radio. Professor Leeds is also an adjunct faculty member at Belmont University and William Paterson University.

Karl Guthrie
B.A. Brown University. J.D. Rutgers School of Law. Author of Entertainment Law- Legal and Business Perspectives in the entertainment Industry. Active entertainment attorney.

*David Philp
20+ years experience in the entertainment world working for PolyGram Records, the Universal Music Group, New Video (home video distributor of the A&E Network, History Channel & Biography Channel content), The Edge With Jake Sasseville (independent television show), and Greater Media Broadcasting (WDHA & WMTR radio).  He is currently the music coordinator at the Wayne United Methodist Church and Chief Organizer Guy of YouChoose Music, a live music events company that raises oodles of big dollars for great non-profits.  He has one wife and two children.
