Lynne Rogers performs research primarily in the field of twentieth-century music. Her articles appear in Contemporary Music Review, Journal of the Royal Musical Association, Journal of Musicology, Music Theory Spectrum, and other professional journals. She is co-editor of Selected Essays from the Fourth International Schenker Symposium (Olms, 2013). She has presented numerous papers in the United States and abroad as an invited speaker and at meetings of scholarly societies. She received grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities, Paul Sacher Stiftung, Oberlin College, and the University of Texas. She served as President of the Society for Music Theory from 2010–2011. In 2010, she received the Faculty Excellence Award for Teaching from William Paterson University. Before coming to WPU, she taught at Oberlin Conservatory and the University of Texas. She received her Ph.D. from Princeton University.
