Auditions for all Bachelor of Arts programs are by recording only. Instructions for uploading your recorded audition will be sent via email after you apply.
Second: Apply to William Paterson University HERE.
Third: Receive email with instructions for Music Department Application.
Upon submission of the University Application, you will receive an email with your Student ID (a 9-digit code that begins with 855) and instructions for submitting Music Department application materials online.
Fourth: Log into Decision Desk to complete the Music Application.
Here you will complete your music department application and upload the URL for your video audition and other materials:
- An essay, approximately 300 words, that includes the URL for your audition video and describes your musical background, explains your career goals, discusses how this major might help you attain them, and describes your involvement in social media or music on the Internet. The essay should also include links to your Twitter page, Facebook page, blog, and any other examples of your online presence. (Word or PDF only).
- Names and email addresses of two references who can speak to your character and abilities. One reference must be a music educator or studio teacher. They will then be contacted by the Music Department.
