Professor Angela DeLaura is a graduate from Parsons School of Design, with a MFA from Rochester Institute of Technology. She is a practicing educator, designer, and artist who actively publishes and exhibits her work both in the fine and applied arts.
Professor De Laura joined the art faculty in 1992 and was appointed in 1995 as Assistant Professor and Coordinator of Graphic Design. She teaches courses in Graphic Design, Packaging, and Illustration. Under her guidance students have won a significant number of awards and scholarships from professional organizations including the Art Directors Club of NJ and the Advertising Club of NJ, and places students in professional internships and secures employment.
Professor DeLaura enjoys a successful career as a graphic designer, medical illustrator, and fine artist. Her paintings and sculpture are in the permanent collections of major museums and collectors. She is a graphic designer and medical illustrator for major corporations in the tri-state area. She has won several fellowships including the NJ State Council on the Arts and the Stockbridge Artist in Residence program. She is a member of many professional organizations and is highly active within the community and University wide events.
