THEATRE ACTIVITIES

Students of the Theatre Concentration had an opportunity to attend a Broadway performance of Neil Simon's comedy The Dinner Party. After the show on Sunday afternoons, Henry Winkler and John Ritter auction off items from the play for donations to Equity Cares: Broadway Fights Aids. Some of our students were able to meet and talk with these stars.

In the Fall 2002, Theatre classes went to see Rent, starring Joey Fatone of N'Sync, pictured here. The students' talk with the cast after the show proved to be informative and fun. Outside the theatre, students and other fans greeted Fatone with enthusiasm.

In the Spring of 2004, Theatre students attended performances of Little Shop of Horrors, talked to the cast and learned about acting professionally, working as an ensemble, and also about the mechanics of the giant plant that reaches out over the audience at the end of the musical.

In the Spring of 2005, Theatre students attended performances of All Shook Up
