Carillon Donated To CCMChapel
The Chapel is not built, the ground has not been broken, but the Catholic Campus Ministry Chapel (yet to be named) already has the Carillon and two (of three) bells donated.

At the Easter Vigil Mass, Frances Capawana said she had a “little announcement.”  The letter that Fr. Lou Scurti  had sent to the $1,000 or more Benefactors  requesting their consid- eration of donating all or part of the Carillon for the New Chapel was received.  She then said: ”you have the Carillon!”  Frances  Capawana has pledged the $10,000 for the Carillon saying: “The CCMCenter has become my ‘home away from home’ and I want to support it.”

Three Chapel Bells  donated!
In April the Annual Chapel Fund-raising Communion Breakfast too place, under the able leadership of Jean Reason Mallory and her very capable committee, made up of WPC faculty & staff.
It was at this breakfast that we were able to announce the Carillon donation.  As we did other supporters and Bene- factors came forward.  Dr. Tina Lescher, Michael & Dana Byrnes and  Ms. Rita Lamar have pledged the donations of the Bells that will be seen in the Bell Tower.
Catholic Campus Ministry is grateful to these benefactors for their generosity and pledge of support  toward the building of the Catholic Campus Ministry Chapel.
A list of  items that may be donated or pledged as memorials is available from the CCMCenter.

The Catholic Campus  Ministry Center has been the recipient of many wonderful gifts of time and talent through the years.
In the Autumn, Mr. Roman Kwiatkowski offered his services to the CCMCenter.  Roman is a carpenter, philosopher and artist.  He con- structed the front steps to the center, did many major repairs and, in general, for the Fall, added a special dimen- sion of service to the CCMC.
In the Spring, Fr. Lou asked Mr. Kwiatkowski to consider making a processional Cross with a  hand-carved ebony corpus of Christ, from Tanzania.  Silently, step by step, Roman put his heart and mind to the task.
Then one Sunday, Fr. Lou received a message,  “the cross is in the garage.”  What was there was a  wonderfully beautiful processional cross; a royal gift to the CCM - Center.
  Thank you Roman!
The CCMChapel has a larger hand carved Crucifix from Tanzania on order.
This will grace the Main altar.  At present it is available as a memorial.  Call us for  info!
