HISTORY OF BETA GAMMA SIGMA

Beta Gamma Sigma, established in 1919, is the only scholastic honor society recognized by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. In 1921, Beta Gamma Sigma amended its constitution to restrict the installation of new chapters to collegiate schools of business which are accredited members of AACSB International.

The Christos M. Cotsakos College of Business has recently received accreditation from AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business - AACSB accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools worldwide. Only about 15% of Business Schools in the world are accredited by AACSB.

“This six-year extension of AACSB accreditation puts the Cotsakos College of Business in an elite group of business colleges worldwide,” says Sam Basu, dean of the Cotsakos College of Business. “This positions the College for our path to the next level of excellence in New Jersey and beyond.”
