Leadership and Service are two key components of learning for students who desire to effect positive change in the world around them. We are choosing to challenge those students who take part in highly educational experiences at William Paterson to not only improve their leadership skills through theory and practice but also to step outside the campus community by learning about themselves and the world around them by becoming civically engaged through activism and service learning. Those students who participate in the following events and reflect (in writing when necessary) will not only learn about themselves and the world but will also be awarded the WPU Leaders in Service Award. These students will be acknowledged for their dedication at the end of the Spring Semester 2013 and all areas must be complete by April 15th.
The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”- Mahatma Gandhi
