Every year, October seems to come and go so fast. Today during my lunch break, I drove to a local cafe that I adore and bought myself a good ol' cup of coffee. To get to this cafe, I drove through College Ave., a street on campus that is lined with beautiful trees. Today, it was 70 degrees and sunny, not a cloud in the sky. As I drove down College Ave. with my windows rolled down and my sun roof up, I couldn't help but feel giddy at the beginning of a new fall semester. It's easy for me to forget how beautiful everything is around me when I'm running around all day. But when I get those few moments to relax, it's nice to know that I live and work at such a beautiful campus!
And since I'm on the subject of our beautiful campus, I will be hiking the High Mountain Preserve tomorrow with a co-worker. Did you know that our campus has its own hiking trail? Actually, we have multiple hiking trails that range from easy to moderate hiking levels. One of my hobbies is spending time outdoors, so having the ability to walk to a real hiking trail that's a few minutes from my apartment is seriously exciting stuff! I'll make sure to post pictures in my next entry. Until then...
