Integrating Technology Into the Curriculum
First Class Meeting/Course Information
Hello Students!
Our first class meeting will take place on Saturday, September 5th at
11:00 a.m. at the Valley Road Campus Lab # V1020. The meeting should take approximately forty-five minutes. At
that time, the syllabus and course requirements will be discussed. There
is no required text for the course.
The weekly assignments and course syllabus will be available before our first
meeting. Please print them out and bring them to class. There is no assignment
until our first meeting date. However, you should take the time to learn
how to use Blackboard, since it will serve as our communication link throughout
the semester. The information below will help you get started. I will also
be available to help anyone having difficulty with Blackboard at our first
meeting.
First, go to http://bb.wpunj.edu/. Use the student help files to help you become familiar with logging on and navigating blackboard. Please check your WPU email frequently and check for announcements on Blackboard several times a week to keep current on what is scheduled.

Use this site to report or fix any problems you may have with Blackboard.
We will not be covering basic computer applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. However, you will be expected to complete assignments using these programs. Free workshops are available on a drop-in basis from IRT (see http://www.wpunj.edu/stc/services/softwaretrainingworkshops.htm for more details). You can also schedule a time to meet with me for extra help or send me e-mail at any time.
