Merit Scholarships

- William Paterson is pleased to provide $1000 in matching funds to your $1000 Distinguished Scholarship; your award is valued at $2000 per year for up to four years at the University.

- The majority of Distinguished Scholars are eligible to receive one of our Trustee Scholarships in addition to the $2000 for the Distinguished award. Our Trustee Scholarship provides students with annual award amounts ranging from $4000 to $11000 per year.

Academic Programs

- The University Honors College provides challenging and academic opportunities and a supportive environment to help high acheiving students prepare for employment and graduate and professional schools.

- The priority application deadline is February 15 for scholarship and Honors College consideration.

- To be considered for any of our merit scholarships - aside from the University Honors College, which requires a separate application - students simply need to apply for admission and be admitted. Scholarship notification is automatic for qualified students.
