Affording a William Paterson Education

We are dedicated to providing an outstanding and affordable education. Our Financial Aid Office works with students and parents on financing options including scholarships, need-based grants, student loans and on-campus employment. Each year, we award nearly 2,000 merit scholarships to incoming freshmen and transfers, totaling over $7 million in financial support for our students.

Living on Campus

Nearly 2,600 students live on our beautiful, 370-acre wooded campus in the suburban community of Wayne, NJ––just 20 miles from New York City. With more than 115 clubs and organizations, and a busy calendar of events, there is always something happening. Our residence halls provide a safe and comfortable environment, and include academic learning communities that foster ongoing faculty/student interaction and community building.

Becoming a Pioneer

We are an active, proud, and diverse community of more than 10,000 undergraduates and more than 1,300 graduate students from every background and perspective. Whether you join one of our 28 fraternities and sororities, participate in one of our 13 intercollegiate sports teams, or volunteer through one of our many campus clubs and organizations, you’ll be part of the Pioneer Life here at William Paterson.
