Applicants may check the status of their application online 24/7 after the University acknowledges that it has been received.

Online Applicants: Within two business days of submitting your online application, you will be sent an email application acknowledgment which contains important information. Please read and save this email.

Paper Applicants: Within five business days of receiving your paper application, you will be sent an application acknowledging by regular mail which contains important information. Please read and save this letter.

Using the information provided in your application acknowledgment, you will be able to view whether necessary supporting documents have been received and the status of your admissions decision.

• Your Login ID:
  your Student Identification (SID) number that is provided in your Application Acknowledgement
• Your PIN:
  your date of birth in MMDDYY format (for example, March 17, 1999 would be 031799)

To make any updates or changes (e.g. address, major, etc.) to your submitted application, use the "Send e-mail to Admissions" feature within the online application status check system; online applicants may also reply to their application acknowledgement email to make updates.  Alternately, you may contact the Undergraduate Admissions Office at 973.720.2125 or admissions@wpunj.edu for service.

Please do not submit another application to:

• update or change your information; follow the directions above.
• pay your application fee online.  If you have already applied and still need to pay your application fee, you can no longer pay online.  You must submit a personal check or money order to the Undergraduate Admissions Office, made payable to "William Paterson University",  at the address noted below.

Submitting additional applications causes errors in your records and slows your admissions decision.

Note that it takes approximately two weeks to render decisions after applications are complete. If you do not have a decision after this time, contact us using the "Send e-mail to Admissions" feature or reply to your email application acknowledgement.
