Academic Facilities
Facilities on campus include the David and Lorraine Cheng Library; the Ben Shahn Center for Visual Arts, which houses art galleries and studios; and the Shea Center for Performing Arts, with rehearsal room and a 923-seat theater.
The University's new academic facility at 1600 Valley Road in Wayne houses the Christos M. Cotsakos College of Business, the College of Education, and the Center for Continuing Education and Distance Learning. The 150,000 square foot facility features advanced technological capabilities and the E*TRADE Financial Learning Center, a state-of-the-art simulated trading and financial center where students will learn about the principles of money management and investing. The facility also features a variety of fully multimedia equipped instructional spaces, including a 174-seat auditorium, eleven seminar rooms, nine traditional classrooms, an interactive television (ITV) classroom, and three computer labs. The building is completely outfitted with wireless connectivity, allowing students and faculty to use laptop computers anywhere in the facility. The property accommodates six hundred parking spaces. A shuttle bus service connects the property to the University's main campus.
The Power Art Building features arts studios and gallery space. Hobart Hall is a state-of-the-art communication facility that houses two broadcast-quality TV studios, a multipurpose computer lab, a film studio, an FCC-licensed FM radio station, an uplink and four downlink satellite dishes, a cable system and a computerized telephone system for voice and data transmission.
The Atrium contains a writing center, multimedia language lab, tutorial center, and computing support facilities. Research facilities include fully equipped biochemistry, molecular biology and neurobiology laboratories; and biotechnology and DNA equipment.
Campus Facilities
Campus facilities include a competition-sized indoor pool, outdoor tennis courts, and a lighted athletics field complex.
