Health insurance

In accordance with New Jersey law, all non-international full-time students and all international full and part-time students are mandated to have health insurance. Student health insurance is provided through United Healthcare.  For health insurance purposes, full time is defined as a graduate student taking 9 or more credits.   If you have other coverage, you can complete the on-line Health Insurance Waiver to have this charge removed from your bill. The waiver form must be submitted on-line to waive the insurance charge.  The waiver form must be completed each academic year and only if you already have coverage that is comparable to the University Health Plan and do not wish to supplement your plan with the University Plan.  For more information on health insurance visit the Center for Student Services' website at http://cms.wpunj.edu/studentaccounts/health-insurance-waiver.dot.
