Numeric Literacy Competencies

1. Understand, calculate and apply basic math functions such as fractions, decimals, percents, basic algebra, etc.

2. Understand numeric or historical time (BC/AD)

3. Apply the concepts of logic

4. Demonstrate a mastery of at least basic probability and statistics

5. Summarize and interpret information using appropriate types of graphs
