Comedy Festival –An annual competition for college students to showcase their writing and performance skills in stand-up comedy, sketch comedy, and other forms
 
The Pioneer Times – a bi-monthly student-run newspaper gives students a chance to participate in all facets of print journalism
 
WP88.7 - Brave New Radio – the radio station offers students the opportunity to learn the many facets of radio through practical experience
 
WPBN - William Paterson Broadcasting Network – students work as producers, on-air talent, reporters, writers, directors, and technicians to create varied television activities and programs
 
SGA Clubs associated with Communications:
F.A.M.E. (Future Actors, Models and Entertainers) – a networking club for students pursuing studies in the entertainment business

Student Public Relations Association – a club for students to build professional skills by creating and implementing real PR campaigns and network with PR professionals

WPU Student Film Association – students work in crews and to support each other's film projects; SFA also organizes the William Paterson University Student Film Festival
