Card: An alumni identification
card gives you access to use campus facilities and attend a wide
range of William Paterson activities and events. To take advantage
of alumni benefits, bring your card when visiting the University.

Chapter Membership: Want to
stay involved? Join a chapter such as young alumni, Latinos, education,
theater or Florida. Contact the Alumni Relations Office for information
about each chapter or how to start a new one.
Alumni
Directory and Search: Memories of old friends can be some
of the most evocative that people have. The Alumni Association
knows the importance of helping you keep in touch with each
other. To assist alumni, a comprehensive alumni directory is

Because all alumni may not be listed in the directory, individuals
may also call the Alumni Relations Office at 973.720.2175. We
will gladly forward letters to friends, provided a current address
is available.
Athletic
Facilities, Events and Camps: Join the fitness revolution
and become part of the winning Pioneer athletic tradition. You
and a guest are entitled to free use of the pool and tennis
courts. For more information, call 973.720.2777. William Paterson
also invites you to show school spirit by attending athletic
events. Either at home or on the road, the Pioneers always appreciate
support. Whether you prefer watching football, field hockey,
soccer, baseball or softball outside, or going indoors to enjoy
basketball, volleyball and swimming, the University has a sport
to suit every fan. Alumni are entitled to reduced rates at certain
games. Can't get to the game, need a schedule or other information?
Follow the Pioneer athletic
teams on the Pioneer hotline, 973.720.2547. Alumni pay reduced
rates to William Paterson summer instructional sports camps.

Rec Center: You and your family are encouraged
to use the Rec Center. Consider purchasing an annual membership,
or pay a daily fee. The facilities include the fitness room
equipped with: lifecycles, lifesteps, stairmasters, rowing machines,
treadmills, Nordic track, Nautilus skate machine, crossrobic
machine, and free weights. There is also a weight room, equipped
with a full line of Nautilus equipment, and basketball, volleyball
and racquetball courts. Perhaps your interest is aerobics, self-defense,
SCUBA, CPR, first aid, or lifeguard training. All are available.
The Center also houses Ticketmaster, where you can purchase
tickets for concerts, sporting events, productions and select
Broadway shows. For information about the Rec

Career
Development Center: Alumni can access the full resources
of the Career Development Center for up to one year after graduation
and after one year are eligible for the following services:
career workshops and job fairs, resume matching and programs
such as computerized guidance and test-preparation. You may
use the career library that includes job listings, directories,
company literature, books, video tapes and free handouts. Alumni
have access to the Career
Development Center home page for a wide variety of information
on job listings (direct link to Jobtrak or input "www.jobtrak.com,"
select "William Paterson University" and input password
"jobs"), resume writing, cover letters, interviewing,
upcoming career fairs and more. Let your alma mater assist you;

Catholic Campus Ministry: The
Catholic Campus Ministry Center welcomes all alumni. It offers
worship services and social, self-awareness and spiritual programs
for everyone. Adjacent to campus, the Center maintains strong

Child Care Center: Reasonable rates are
available for working parents with children or grandchildren
two-and-a-half to six-years-old. Youngsters must be toilet trained.

Credit Union Membership: As a
University alum, you and your family are eligible for membership
in the North Jersey Federal Credit
Union. Regardless of changes in employment, location or
retirement, you remain a member until your account is closed.
Benefits include a no-fee VISA card, free checking, a MAC card,
payroll deduction or direct deposit and much more. Call 973.785.9200

Cultural Activities: William
Paterson has been a focus of the cultural scene in northern
New Jersey for decades. The Distinguished Lecturer Series, The
Orchestra at William Paterson University, theater productions,
jazz concerts, art exhibits and lectures are available to alumni.

Graduate Programs: William
Paterson University offers 19 master's degree programs and 13

Language Lab: Practice your
foreign language skills at this state-of-the-art facility in
the Atrium, which is open five days a week and is free for alumni.

Parking Privileges: We urge you to
visit often and when you do, parking is available in the visitor's
lot. An alumni parking decal permits you to park throughout
the campus in white-lined spaces. Graduates attending classes
should obtain a student permit. For more information, call the
Department of Public Safety at 973.720.2301.
Registrar and Transcripts: Transcripts
of academic records are issued upon receipt of a written request.
A nominal fee of $5 for each transcript must be paid by check
or money order. If you request an official transcript for a
self-managed application package, send a copy of the instructions
from the institution. Official transcripts are sent only to
official addresses of employees, graduate schools, etc. Forward
transcript requests to: The Office
of the Registrar, William Paterson University, P.O. Box
913, Wayne, NJ 07474-0913. Allow a minimum of 10 working days
for processing. For verification of a degree, the Records Office
verifies graduation over the phone at 973.720.2305 to various
companies and institutions. If more detailed information is
needed, requests may also be submitted in writing.
David and Lorraine Cheng Library: William
Paterson's library provides a full range of services seven days
a week and is open on weekdays until 11:45 p.m. The library
houses more than 350,000 volumes, 1,700 periodical subscriptions,
a growing collection of Web-accessible journals and books, and
more than 80 electronic databases, many of which feature full-text
articles and other documents. An extensive collection of films,
videos, audiotapes, and CDs complement the print and electronic
resources. An Electronic Resource Center provides access to
a variety of computer software, the Internet, and online library
resources.Call the Library

Speech and Hearing Clinic: Open to
you and your family, the Speech and Hearing Clinic offers comprehensive
treatment for communication disorders in children and adults
such as articulation difficulties, language delay disorders
resulting from neurological impairments, voice problems, fluency,
and foreign and regional accents. Audiological services include
hearing testing, auditory training, aural rehabilitation, hearing
aid evaluations and central auditory processing. The Speech
and Hearing Clinic is also open to the general public and is
accredited by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Machuga Student Center: The Student Center remains the heart
of the campus geographically and socially. The main location
for daily and special events, it offers a full range of
services including an arcade, a lounge, a food court, a restaurant, an art gallery, Starbuck's coffee house,
the University Store and Cyber Place, which is available for

Volunteerism:Admissions Volunteers
assist in various recruitment activities of new students. If
interested, call 973.720.2906. Annual Fund Committee - This
group focuses on fundraising through efforts of annual fund

the Gallery - Individuals fund visual arts and art scholarships.
