Distinguished Alumni
The Distinguished Alumni Award is presented to
alumni representing the colleges of: Arts & Communication, Cotsakos
College of Business, Education, Humanities and Social Sciences and Science
& Health, who have demonstrated distinctive achievements in a career,
civic involvement, or both. Nominees must be graduates of the institution,
and preference shall be given to alumni who have demonstrated coummity
service and leadership in their field and have had meaningful involvement
with Alumni Association activites. The awards are presented at the Legacy
Award Dinner, held in the spring.
Faculty Service Award
The Faculty Service Award is presented annually
to faculty who have demonstrated distinctive achievements and contributions
during their career at William Paterson University. The award is presented
at the Legacy Award Dinner, held in the spring.
Outstanding Senior Award
The Alumni Association has presented one or more Outstanding Senior
Awards annually since 1962. This award has been given to individuals
who possessed high academic standings (2.75 GPA or higher) and strong involvement in extracurricular
activities while demonstrating leadership ability and service to the
institution.This year’s award will be presented at Commencement on Tuesday, May 20, 2008.
Athletic Hall of Fame Award
This award was established to recognize individuals who have attained
outstanding athletic achievements. Persons may qualify for a nomination
as a player, coach, or supporter. The awards are presented annually
